2023 Gideon Rosenbluth Memorial Lecture with Economist Ha-Joon Chang

Economist Ha-Joon Chan delivered the 2023 Gideon Rosenbluth Memorial Lecture on October 5, 2023, co-hosted by the CCPA-BC and the UBC Vancouver School of Economics.

Ha-Joon Chang is a distinguished economist and influential figure in the academic realm. He has authored numerous acclaimed books that challenge conventional economic wisdom, offering fresh perspectives and fostering a deeper understanding of the subject. Chang’s research and teaching have shaped the minds of aspiring economists worldwide. Edible Economics: A Hungry Economist Explains the World is his latest book, written for a popular audience. Chang is a distinguished Research Professor of Economics at SOAS University of London.

The event was hosted by CCPA–BC senior economist Marc Lee with a welcome from Cecilia Point of the Musqueam Nation.
